Ronald Lee "Big Al" Alexander, Jr. 56 of Buckner, MO passed away Sunday, July 20, 2003 at his home. Services will be 10 am Thursday, July 24th at Speaks Buckner Chapel; with interment in Buckner Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 pm at the Chapel.
Ron was born April 27, 1947 in Booneville, MO to Gertrude and Ronald Alexander. He was a veteran of the US Army and served his country in Germany from 1965 to 1968. He retired from LaFarge Cement Co; owned the Red Dawg Saloon in Buckner for several years, and worked as a driver for the Fifty Plus Pharmacy.
Ron was preceded in death by his father, and is survived by his wife of 34 years, Terry Alexander; son, Brian Alexander of Buckner, MO; daughter, Stacy Bowling and husband Mark of Sibley, MO; grandchildren, Bret and Teri Ann Cooper; mother, Gertrude Alexander of Buckner, MO; sisters, Patricia Fry of Stillwell, KS, Connie Yates of Indiana, Jenny Steinhauser of Buckner, MO, and Susan Brock of Independence, MO; nieces and nephews; and his dog Jazzabelle.
