GEORGE L. ADAMS George Louis Adams, 85, Independence, died July 1, 1991, in the Windsor Estates Convalescent Center, 10300 E. Truman Road, Independence. He was born in WANETTE, Okla., and moved to Independence in 1942. Mr. Adams was plumber and carpenter before he retired. He was a former member of Local 61 of the Carpenters Union. He was a member of the Waldo Avenue Baptist Church. His wife, Ocie Pearl Adams, died in 1990. Survivors include a stepson, William D. Crim, Kansas City; three stepdaughters, Lonnie L. Brown and Fern Marshall of Independence and Joyce Baker, Sugar Creek; 15 stepgrandchildren; and 31 stepgreat-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Belton Cemetery.
