The stone says F.G. Allin, but the years and dates correspond to those for Philander Greenleaf Allen, who is known to have died in Wise Co., TX, in the same year, and no F.G..Allin has otherwise been identified. So presumably this is the result of carving the name based on how it sounded phonetically.
His wife, (md. Nov.6,1875 Crawford Co., IL), was Phebe Ann Martin, (ca.1856-d.1892, Paradise, Wise Co., TX). After his death she married, (Oct.18,1883), W.P. Banick, [more likely William Perry Barrick, (1838-1907), whose 1st wife was Mary Elizabeth (Seaney) Barrick, (1840-1883). [Both buried Paradise Cem., Wise Co., TX.. Not certain if Phebe was buried in the Chico or Paradise Cemetery.
