Mrs. Roy Aerni Dies In Dallas
Funeral services were held at two o'clock on Wednesday afternoon, for Mrs. Roy Aerni, 56, of Chico, who died at Baylor Hospital in Dallas late Sunday evening. She had been in poor health for the past year, and was returned to the hospital on Saturday.
Services were conducted at Morris Memorial Methodist Church in Chico, by the pastor of the church, the Reverend Don Culbertson. Burial was in the New Chico Cemetery, under the direction of Hawkins Funeral Home of Bridgeport.
Pallbearers were R. K. Walker, Ed Wrangle, Robert Sprowls and Lloyd Huffman, of Chico; J. O. Edwards and James Coursey, of Bridgeport.
Mrs. Aerni was the former Lucille Flowers, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Columbus Flowers, and was born at Chico, October 11, 1911. She was graduated from Chico High School and Harris Hospital School of Nursing in Fort Worth. She studied in Chicago to be an anesthetist to Dr. Harris. She was a registered nurse for the Dallas schools and had worked the past year as a nurse at the Bridgeport schools. She and Mr. Aerni moved here a few years ago from Dallas, and were members of Morris Memorial Church. They were married at Chico in August, 1947.
Survivors are her husband, of Chico; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Eastien of Mesquite; two sisters, Dr. Elizabeth Thomas, of Denton, and Mrs. Myrtle Tallant, of McAllen Texas; a brother, C. B. Flowers, of Dallas; three grandchildren and other relatives.
