Pauline Alexander, Homemaker 70, of Upchurch Mobile Home Estates, Lot 24, died Jan. 20, 1992, at home. Funeral is 2 p.m. Thursday at Carpenter's Funeral Home in Cherryville, with the Revs. Nathan Grooms and Daniel Featherstone officiating. Burial is in City Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation is 7 to 9 tonight at the home of her sister, Mrs. Viola Huskins on N.C. 150 West.
Mrs. Alexander, a homemaker, was born in Gaston County, daughter of the late Isaiah and Margaret Mickle Thrift. She was a member of Pilgrim Tabernacle in Lincolnton. She was the widow of William T. Alexander.
Survivors are her son, Robert Alexander of Detroit; daughters, Mrs. Denise Lingerfelt of Charlotte, Mrs. Debra Bowen, Mrs. Diane Rutherford; brothers, Jake Thrift of Mobile, Ala., Robert Thrift of Kannapolis, Gus Thrift of
Rockingham, Palmer Thrift of Gastonia; sisters, Mrs. Kate Baker of Kannapolis, Mrs. Christine Ragan of Charlotte, Mrs. Viola Huskins of Cherryville; six grandchildren.
