E-6 Retired Gabriel Claude Albritton died Wednesday morning, January 11, 2006 in Baldwin County, He was 66.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, January 14, from the chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be from the funeral home chapel tonight from 6 to 8.
Mr. Albritton retired from the US Army at Fort Rucker as an air traffic controller. He also had served in the US Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Claude A. and Helen Albritton; sister, Grace Berry; brother, Claude Albritton; son-in-law, Lewis Woodham.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Betty Albritton of Ozark; three daughters and sons-in law, Rosalind (Troy) Alfrey of Lucedale, Miss, Maria (Timmy) Glass of Crestview, FL, Karla Andrews and Gary Stump of Daleville; three sons, Roger and Mary Stephens of Crestview, FL, John Stephens of Ozark and Paul Albritton of Ozark; two sisters, Mildred Thompson of Auburndale, FL, and Louise and Tommy Walston of Saraland; sister-in-law, Imogene Albritton of Mobile; grandchildren, Tammy and Robert Ladnier, Michelle and William Swann, Angela and Elijah Callum, Dr. Jason Stephens, Thomas Glass, Timothy Glass, Phillip Glass, Ethan Albritton and Chase Albritton; great-grandchildren, Megan Jermyn, Karla Hermyn, Allison Swann, Dallas Keith, Michael Miller.
