The Reverend Thomas Acheson, D.D., minister of the Epworth Methodist church in Tacoma from 1928 to 1932, died Thursday in Portland. Dr. Acheson served a number of the larger Methodist churches in the Pacific Northwest, including Central church, Spokane, First church, Boise, Centenary-Wilbur church, Portland and the United Protestant church, Richland. A heart attack some five years ago forced his retirement from the active ministry. He spent two years in his native Ireland in an attempt to rebuild his health. Returning to Oregon in 1951, he was assigned as associate minister of the Portland church which he had served as minister some years previously.
