Mrs. Tanner was a graduate of Northern High School and attended Wayne University, in Detroit, Mich. She worked as a bookkeeper most of her life, and was a member of Temple Anshe Hesed, where she was librarian and Hebrew teacher. She belonged to Hadassah and the Temple Sisterhood.
She was preceded in death in 2002 by her husband, Morris Irwin Tanner, whom she married on August 31, 1941, in Detroit, Mich.
Survivors include a son, Dave Tanner, of Fairfield, Iowa; two daughters, Marcia Tanner Freeman and husband Marc, of Fairfield, Iowa, and Karen Tanner and husband Randy Perrin, of Berkeley, Calif. She is further survived by a brother, Kalman Bandalene and wife Ada, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two sisters, Sara B. Gendelman, of Mich., and Gertrude B. Kline, of Miami, Fla.; and five grandchildren.
Burial will be in Anshe Hesed Cemetery.
