Tula D. Bratis
Resident of Foster City

It is with great sadness that the family of Tula D. Bratis announces her passing on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at the age of 87 years.

Tula, along with her husband and son, migrated to San Francisco, CA in 1955 following a devastating earthquake in Zakynthos, Greece. In 1977, Tula and family moved back to Greece to provide her grandchildren an opportunity to experience life in Greece and learn the heritage. The family moved back in 1987, purchased a house in Foster City, CA and started her own home daycare service, where she nurtured many children, until her retirement.

Tula, widow of Dennis P. Bratis, will be lovingly remembered by her son, [redacted for privacy], her four grandchildren, [edacted], and three great grandchildren, [redacted]. She will also be forever remembered by [redacted] and other nieces and nephews in the United States and Greece.

Family and friends may visit after 6:00 PM, Wednesday, July 27, 2011 and attend the Triasagion at 7:00 PM at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 245 Valencia St., San Francisco where the Funeral Service will be on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Committal will follow at Greek Orthodox Memorial Park in Colma.
