Ann Smith Bowles of 1938 Woodcrest Drive, Winter Park, FL., was born on Jan. 16th, 1933, at Harkness Pavillion in New York City. She grew up in Summit, New Jersey, and graduated from The Kent Place School there and received her B.A. degree from Smith College in 1955. She was a member of the Junior Leagues of Brooklyn; of Long Island; of Wilmington, Delaware; of the Palm Beaches; and of Wimter Park/Orlando. She was a charter member and former President of the Garden City, NY, Branch of the American Cancer Society; a charter board member of the Twigs of Nassau Hospital, Long Island, and a member of the board of the Auxiliary of Nassau Hospital. She was a member of the Smith College Clubs of Winter Park/Orlando, Palm Beach and Long Island where she was alumnae fund raising chairman, She was on the Mothers' Association Board of Saint Andrews School in Boca Raton and Vice President of fund raising. She was an active member of All Saints Church in Winter Park. Her maternal grandfather was William G. Van Schnmus, Director of Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall. A friend of Walt Disney, Mr. Van Schmnus introduced the film Snow White at the Music Hall in 1937. Ann Smith Bowles is survived by her husband, Robert, and by her sons: Robert Jr., and Benjamin of Winter Park; by her daughters: Alice Murphy of North Wales, PA., and Martha Pugh of Silver Spring, MD.; by her sisters: Mrs John Corbett, Dataw Island, SC, and Mrs. Norcross Teel Blue HilL ME; and by her three granddaughters and two grandsons. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Healing Ministry - All Saints Church Winter Park, Lyman Ave.
