George Alfred Dudgeon died on Friday, March 6, 1959 at 12:05 a.m. at Rosary Hospital as the result of internal injuries suffered in an automobile accident Wednesday, March 4th between Lebanon and Campbellsville, near Big Muldraugh Hill, in which Ed Shipp was fatally injured. Mr. Dudgeon was born August 31, 1906 in Taylor County, Kentucky, the son of John R. and Fannie Lee Woods Dudgeon. Funeral services were conducted at the Lyon Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, March 8, 1959, with Brother Richard Phipps in charge. Burial followed at the Buchanan Family Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Joe Smith, Earl Smith, Hugh Smith, Garnett Smith, Bob Russell and John Russell. Mr. Dudgeon is survived by three brothers, Buck Dudgeon, Jesse Dudgeon, and James Dudgeon, all of Campbellsville; and three sisters, Mrs. Myrtie Carroll of Campbellsville, Mrs. Allie Folley, Jacksonville, Ill., and Mrs. Mary Pike, Adair County, Kentucky.
