"..... This cemetery lies on the land once owned by Patrick Corgan just east of Alto Pass. The cemetery shows on the 1902 Union County atlas, but not in 1981 when the land was owned by John F. Widdow. Patrick, his first wife, Polly, and their son, Singleton Corgan are buried here. The graves are no longer marked, but Penny McIntire reports that a descendant claimed to have seen the graves with legible tombstones in 1968. The markers were allegedly pushed off into a hedgerow sometime after 1968. When the site was visited by Mary Jane Schultz in 1990, only grape hyacinths marked the graves. Patrick Corgan was born in 1760 in Ireland and died 23 Mar 1848. He was a Revolutionary War soldier and also served in the War of 1812. Singleton was born 1827 and died in 1853."
