Daughter of Wm and Mary Adams born in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. When but a girl she moved with the family to Petersboro, where she resided until married to Edward Hunter in 1847.
To this union were born eight children, four boys and four girls. After the death of her husband she moved to Rochester, New York, where she resided for four years until coming to Ocosta sixteen years ago, where she has since resided with her son, William Hunter, besides whom she leaves a daughter and two sons to mourn their loss; Mrs. Margaret Johnson, Ontario, Canada, Amziah Hunter, Rochester, N.Y. and Robert Hunter, Montesano, Washington. "Grandma Hunter", as she was familiarly known, was a member of the Episcopal church, and has been a devout christian all her life. She was of a pleasing disposition, and very much endeared to all who knew her. for the last several years she has been almost totally blind, but has borne her affliction with a patience and cheerfulness that has won for her the name of "Our Benediction" from her closest acquaintances. Interment was made in the Ocosta Cemetery Wednesday, April 22, 1914.
