Janice Arlene ‘Hunter' Kimsey passed away Friday, August 29, 2003 at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, WA at the age of 61 years.
She was born June 13, 1942 in Aberdeen, WA the daughter of Harry and Thelma Charlie Baker. Janice was a lifetime resident of Skagit Valley until moving to Napavine for ten years and then returning to Sedro-Woolley six years ago.
She worked as a deli clerk for Food Pavilion in Mount Vernon and was a member of the Shoalwater Bay Indian Tribe. Janice loved to cook, she enjoyed traveling and going on cruises, but most of all she enjoyed and loved her family.
She is survived by her children Phillip ‘Sonny' Hunter of Burlington, Dawn Wilson of Clear Lake, Andrew Hunter and Andrea Hunter both of Sedro-Woolley, and Gary Hunter of Burlington. Grandchildren Krissy Wilson, of Sedro-Woolley, Joshua Wilson of Clear Lake, Zackery Hunter of Sedro-Woolley, Alexandria Hunter, of Tacoma, Jacob Hunter, of Burlington, and a great-granddaughter, Celeste Torset, of Sedro-Woolley. Her companion Reggie Hunter of Sedro-Woolley and a brother Kenneth Baker of Tacoma, a sister Colleen Dietl and a brother Denny Baker both of Tokeland. A stepson, Bruce Kimsey of Centralia and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David Kimsey, a daughter, Jennifer, a great-granddaughter, Eva Valerie, and a stepson, David Kimsey Jr.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, September 6, 2003 at 1:00PM at the Upper Skagit Cultural Center near Sedro-Woolley with Merle Williams officiating. Private Inurnment will be at the Harry Moses Cemetery near Marblemount.
Memorials are suggested to The Arthritis Foundation or American Cancer Society. Arrangements under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
