Paul Borghardt, 86, of Fulton, MO, died at the Lake Ozark Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, MO, on Thursday, December 28, 2006. He was born January 12, 1920, in Marion, MO, to the late Joseph Samuel and Lula Mae (Hickam). In September, 1948, he married Dorothy (Crawford) and she survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Joe Borghardt of Camdenton, MO and Bruce Borghardt of St. Louis, MO; a sister, Mary Lou Roberts; two grandchildren, Laura and Chris Borghardt; and many nieces and nephews.
He also was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.
Paul worked for the state highway department for 40 years. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Fulton, MO, a lifetime member of the VFW Post #2657 and also the Masonic Lodge No. 48. He was a United States Army veteran, serving in Africa, Sicily and Italy during World War II-for which he received two bronze stars.
Services are at 2 p.m. today at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, MO. Entombment will be held at Callaway Memorial Gardens.
