Joseph Lee Blue, 76,of 208 Vandyne, died at Jonesboro Nursing Center Sunday morning July 13, 1969.
Born in Elsinore, MO. June 1, 1893, he was a veteran of WWI, a retired carpenter, and a Baptist. He had lived in Jonesboro eight years. He was formerly of Poplar Bluff, MO.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Blue of the home. Eight daughters, Miss Mabel Blue of the home, Mrs. Earl Mason of Corning, Mrs. Bunny King,Mrs. Max Claybrook,Mrs. Gaylon Beach, all of St. Louis, MO., Mrs. Borden Cox of Wilmington, Del., Mrs. Jean Denny,of Pasadena, TX., Mrs. JoAnn McCommy of Chicago, Il.; one son, Leroy Blue of St. Louis, MO.; 48 grandchildren;and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, 2:30pm. at Gregg Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clinton Holder officiating. Burial will be in Keller's Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
