Mrs. Catherine Davis, widow of the late Cornelius Davis, died at her residence at Camp Point Friday, Dec. 19, 1902 age 78 years, 8 months, 2 days. She was born in Missouri Apr 17, 1824 and married Cornelius Davis on July 10, 1842. Funeral at the residence, Elder Owen of Hersman officiated. She was laid to rest by her husband in Camp Point Cemetery.
Her youngest daughter, Amanda, had cared for her.
Leaves 3 sons and 3 daughters. Father and mother Davis were members of the primitive Baptist Church at Coatsburg for 50 years.
