|Birth: ||Aug. 1, 1794|
New York, USA
|Death: ||May 5, 1870|
She was the daughter of Richard (1765-1860) and Charity (maiden-name-unknown) Rider.
Lydia married (1) Luther Gleason, abt 1812; married (2) Daniel D. Osmun, abt. 1821.
In the 1850 & 1860 census of Franklin Twp., Fulton County, Ohio, Lydia is listed as being born in New York.
In the 1880 census, Lydia's children, Annliza, Aaron M., Charity M., John, and Sally Ann all tell the census taker that their mother, Lydia, was born in New York.
In the 1880 census, Oscar is the only child to tell the census taker that his mother, Lydia, was born in Connecticut; it may have been Oscar's second wife, Lavinia, who provided the wrong information.
The only connection I can find to Connecticut is that Luther Gleason, Lydia's first husband, was born in Connecticut.
Lydia's death certificate gives date of death as May 05, 1870 in Mill Creek Township from "lung fever" (pneumonia?), aged 75 years and 9 months.
