Ken was born Oct. 1, 1920, son of Charles and Anna Lindoerfer. He grew up during the Depression. He met Mary Thums when they both attended Elgin High School in the class of 1939. They were married on Aug. 20, 1943. Mary was laid to rest March 11, 2009.
Ken is survived by his one daughter, Lynne (John) Thelan, Mercer Island, Wash.; two sons, James (Bernie), Bloomington, and David (Laura), Ijamsville, Md.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Ken was an active member of the Apostolic Christian Church from his mid-50s until his death. He served on the board of directors for the church when the nursing home was conceptualized and constructed. Ken is now resting in his final home in heaven, with our lord.
