I thought someone might find the following query of some interest, it came from an old issue of "The South Carolina Magazine of Ancestral Research." I don't have the magazine, the information was sent to me.
Wynnette

"Seeking information on the families of David Craddock, b. ca 1792 in SC, and his wife, Sarah A. Dendy, b. ca 1799. The Craddock family settled in Youngville(Alexander City)in Tallapoosa Co. AL in the mid or late 1830's. It appears that they may have come to Tallapoosa Co. from Georgia in the company of the Young family. David and Sarah had several children but the names of only 3 are known: Daniel C. b. 1828 in GA, Nanct Harris, b. 1832 in GA, m. John B. Carlisle in 1853 at Youngville and Mary Sue, b. 1842 in AL, m. David W. Hodo (son of Moses Hodo) in 1858 in Youngville. "Aunt Sue" lived her intire life in Alexander City
where she was well known. Sarah Craddock died ca 1857 and was buried in the Old Fellowship Baptist Cemetery (called Old Youngville Cemetery by some)---possibly one of the last persons to have been buried in that cemetery. At the 1860 census, David Craddock was living with Judy A.F. Craddock, age 15, in Alexander City. We believe that Judy was either David's daughter or granddaughter. We do not know where David died or is buried, or when.

In John Dendy's will, made the 24th day of September 1847, he mentions that he had advanced $300 to Sallie, the wife of David Craddock.
