MARRIED AT MAYWOOD
Mr. C. R. Kendall of Plevna and Miss Pearl Thrasher of the Bethel vicinity were married last Thursday at the home of the officiating minister, Rev. G. W. Humphrey, in Maywood.
The couple were attended by Mr. Earl Thrasher, brother of the bride, and Miss Mary Kendall, sister of the groom. After the wedding the party went to Quincy for a short visit.
Mrs. Kendall is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Thrasher and is well known in the Bethel community. Mr. Kendall is a son of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Kendall. They will make their home at Plevna, where the groom is employed.
The couple have a wide circle of friends to wish them well. These the Herald joins in extending congratulations.

Carl Kendall
Services for Carl R. Kendall, 84, of Shelbina, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at West Chapel, Greening-Eagen-Hayes Funeral Home. Dr. Wesley Harmon officiated. Burial was in the Sunset Slope of the Shelbina Cemetery.
Mr. Kendall died at 3:30 p.m. July 14, 1984, in the Salt River Nursing Home in Shelbina.
He was born Feb. 18, 1900, in Plevna to Amos and Ruth Elliott Kendall. He was married to Pearl Thrasher on Sept. 10, 1925 in Maywood. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, James V. Kendall of Mendota, Ill., one daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Stultz of Columbus, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Mr. Kendall had resided in Shelbina since 1937. He was retired from North Missouri Lumber Co. after 25 years of employment. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Easter Star, Royal Neighbors, the Malta Commandery and Shelbina Chapter of Royal Arch Masons. He was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge and had a 25-year pin from the IOOF Lodge.
Memorials may be made to the Shelbina United Methodist Church.
