Mr. Johnnie Crane Sr., of Cushing, OKlahoma died 01/07/2012 at his home in Cushing. Mr. Crane was 69 years and 10 months old. He was the son of the late John and Angeline (LeClaire) Crane.
Mr. Crane attended Drumright High School where he played football for Drumright. He also received a scholarship for Football. Johnnie graduated from Drumright High School in 1960. He began his career at Quapaw as a Heavy Equipment Operator and worked for Quapaw for 50 years. Johnnie married the Love of his life Brenda Shelton on May 15, 1970 in Shamrock, Oklahoma. He was a big O.U. Fan. He loved watching them play and win. Johnnie also enjoyed hunting and taking care of his miniature donkey's and chickens. Johnnie loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Mr. Crane was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters: Geraldine Adams and Jackie Wolverton; and 1 step-son: Daniel Shelton.
He is survived by his wife Brenda Crane; 1 daughter Jonie Crane; 1 son: Johnnie Crane Jr. of Cushing, Oklahoma; 2 sisters: Alberta Staley of Sapulpa and Mary Hamilton of Austin, Texas,a niece Ann Ford and husband Al of Austin, Texas; his beloved grandchildren: Jade Sneed and husband Andrew, Addison Spiva, Jakob Spiva and Johnnie Crane III; other relatives and a host of dear friends.
Funeral services was held Tuesday afternoon, January 10, 2012, at Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Pastor Roger White officiated the service.
Mr. Crane Sr., was laid to rest on Wednesday 01/11/2012 at the Crane Family Cemetery, in Cushing, Oklahoma.
