BRADLEY, Dalton William (Bill) Jr. Formerly of San Gabriel, died suddenly September 10 in Arroyo Grande, CA. Bill was born in 1927 in Kansas City Missouri to Opal Libby and Dalton William Bradley Sr. His family moved to Glendale where Bill attended Hoover High School. At Hoover he met his soon to be wife, Suzanne Marie Read. In 1944 Bill joined the Navy where he would serve a brief stint before WWII ended in 1945. He then attended the University of Southern California and joined the fraternity Delta Tau Delta. Bill went on to graduate with a degree in Business. Shortly after graduation he went to work full time for his father, D.W. Sr. at Bradley Optical in downtown Los Angeles. In 1971 he began his proudest accomplishment, Opal-lite Inc. With Opal-lite Bill managed to create the first optical plastic lens laboratory on the west coast. He ran his business until his retirement in 1988. From 1990 to 1991, D.W. served as Senior Warden of the Church of Our Saviour Episcopal Church in San Gabriel. He sang faithfully in their choir for 40 years. "Dee Dub" spent his weekends watching his beloved USC Trojan football team, playing his bugle and trimming his roses. In 2003 Bill and Suzy moved to Arroyo Grande. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Suzanne, daughters Deborah (Brian), Jennifer (Mike), Julie (Jack) and one son, Dalton William Bradley III, eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 301 Trinity Avenue, Arroyo Grande on Saturday October 1 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: The UCSF Foundation, P.O.
