Mr.Leroy Autry, 87, of 3053 Marsh Road, Bladenboro, NC; died Friday at Elizabethtown Nursing Center, Elizabethtown, NC.
Mr. Autry, born in Bladen County, was the son of the late James A. Autry and Dessie Wright Autry and the widower of Willie Mae Autry. In addition too his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Luther Willard Autry and James Milton Autry.
He was a logger and a farmer for many years. Leroy was deeply loved inlife and will be sorely missed.
He is survived by three sons, Reginald Autry and wife Deborah of White Plains, MD; Lee Dale Autry and wife Ingrid of Charlotte, NC; Gerald Autry and wife Freda of Bladenboro, NC; ten grandchildren, Tony McCoy, Lee Dale, Jr., Reginald II, Brandon, Simone, Alexandria, Kimberly, Daven, Lauren and Deanna, and a bother, Roland Autry and wife Shirley, a sister, Lillie Mae Patsy Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and four sisters-in-law; Catherine Thomas Autry, Geraldine Thomas Autry, Millicent Hammond Autry and Virginia Thomas Autry.
The family received friends 1-6 pm, Sunday, May 10, 2015 at the Carter Funeral Home in Garland, NC.
The funeral services were held at 1 pm, Monday, May 11, 2015 at Pleasant Hill Holiness Church.
Burial was made in Autry Cemetery, Johnsontown Road, Elizabethtown, NC.
