Neil F. Christianson was born December 28, 1908, the oldest child of Chris and Celia Christianson in Shell Creek, Madison County, Nebraska. The 1920 US census list the family living in Canton, Lincoln County, South Dakota, where Neil is attending school.1930 census finds the family in Antelope Nebraska. The University of Nebraska, at Lincoln, 1931 yearbook "The Cornhusker" lists a 20 year old Neil F. Christianson as a member of the ROTC Band. Neil met LaVergne in Los Angeles when a friend arranged a blind date. Neil and LaVergne were married in 1935, their marriage lasted 70 years. Neil inlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1942 during WWII. After Neil's discharge the family settled in California. The family is listed in Lancaster, California between 1970 and 1991, In 1991 Neil and LaVergne moved to Grandview in order to be near their daughter and grandchildren.
