Ella Dorothea Abbas, 89, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away August 22, 2008, at the Sheffield Care Center in Sheffield, Iowa.
She was born April 3, 1919, in Marion Township to Herman and Lena (Spangenberg) Meyer. Ella attended the Marion Center Country School.
She was married to George L. Abbas on April 29, 1942.
Ella was a homemaker and spent most of her life on the family farm by Latimer.
She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed being a member of the LWML. Ella especially enjoyed sewing and quilting for church projects.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren & her great grand son, gardening and playing 500 with her neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Walter Meyer and two sisters-in-law Arlene Meyer & Opal Meyer.
