Carrie was born on October 12, 1928 to the late G.W. and Dosha (Combs) Watts. She was a homemaker and a member of Providence Pentecostal Church.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, two sons, Elmo (Sherri) Combs of Jackson, Kentucky; and Eugene (Brenda) Combs of Jackson, Kentucky; five daughters, Mildred (John) Hulse of Illinois; Linda Jo (Elmer) Bowling of Jackson, Kentucky; Brenda (Randy) Boggs of Hazel Green, Kentucky; Irene (Don) Taulbee of Hazel Green, Kentucky; and Donna (Charles Peanut) Little of Jackson, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren, J.C. Lucas, Vivian Lucas, Stephen (Jennifer) Bowling, Michael (Almeda) Bowling, Rebecca Taulbee and Aaron Skinner, Angie Combs, Dana Combs, Justin (Tiffany) Combs, Charles Eddie Little, Jamison J.K. (Jessica) Little, and Travis (Ashley) Combs; 17 great grandchildren, Jensen Burton, Breck Bowling, Katie Bowling, Joseph Bowling, Parker Bowling, Reese Skinner, Wyatt Skinner, Paige Skinner, Jacob Perez, Alexis Pelfrey, Landon Jace Combs, Laken Rose Combs, Ethan Little, Faith Little, Wesley Little, JaKoby Little, and Layne Gibson; one brother, Paul (Brenda) Watts of Nancy, Kentucky; three sisters, Rose Holbrook of Florida; Maxine (South) Hudson of Gilmore, Kentucky; and Ella Mae Watts of Ohio; a host of nieces and nephews; and many other loving relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Carl Combs; and parents, G.W. and Dosha Watts, Carrie was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Vanessa Kay Combs; seven brothers, Bill Poston, Elbert Watts, Shafter Watts, Carl Watts, Estill Watts, Oliver Watts, and Hubert Watts; two sisters, Laura Napier, and Alpha Bradshaw.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 3, 2017 with Pastors, Armon Nichols, Gary Bellamy, and Bobby Hollon officiating. Carrie will be laid to rest in the Combs Cemetery in Jackson, Kentucky with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. Friends may visit the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, 2017.
