GREENFIELD - Marie S. Barton, 81, homemaker, died Monday of cancer at Volunteer General Hospital. Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church of Greenfield, where she was a member, with burial in the church cemetery. Williams Funeral Home has charge. Mrs. Barton, the widow of Roy Barton, leaves a daughter, Nancy Ward of Greenfield; a son, George Barton of Mt. Gilead, N.C.; three sisters, Altie Mae Chapell of Martin, Claudine Rogers of Greenfield and Myrna DeRossett o f New York, and two brothers, Mallard Stringer of Greenfield and James R. Stringer of Martin.
