in the 1901 census, Rhoda Barton was living at Cleaghmore, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway.

Rhoda Barton, aged 81, born in Antrim, and noted as mother-in-law of E.G. Armstrong, who was not enumerated in the house, but signed the form. His wife Louisa was not present either.
Jane Armstrong, daughter, aged 37, born in Roscommon.

A Housemaid, a Cook, and a Groom were also present.

Elliott Graham Armstrong, aged 60, and his wife Louisa Armstrong, aged 39, were enumerated at Maidenhall, Danesfort, Co. Kilkenny, visitors in the home of George and Harriet Neville Butler.

Louisa Armstrong was aged 49, and had been born in London.
They had been married 18 years and had no children.

Death.
Rhoda Barton, aged 87, a widow, died on 6 August 1908, at Brooklands, Greystones.
The cause of death was Acute Bronchitis, 2 days, Cardiac Failure, 1 day, certified.
