Cynthia Grace Ashton Wolfe, 61 of Tulsa, left this earthly plane on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Clarehouse. Cynthia was born October 22nd, 1950 in Tulsa. She was the former owner of Cherry Street Dance Studio and Studio Bilancia. She graduated from Tulsa Memorial High School in 1968 and attended Oklahoma University where she studied dance with Yvonne Chouteau and Miguel Terekhov. Cynthia began ballet training with her father Lez Damaroff Ashton at a very young age. She later began taking classes at the Tulsa School of Ballet where she excelled. She was soon accepted into the Tulsa Civic Ballet where she danced in numerous productions in the 1960's. After relocating to Dallas, TX, she studied under some of the greatest Ballet Russe stars and later joined the Dallas Ballet Theatre. While in Dallas, she performed in productions of Swan Lake, Nutcracker and numerous Georges Skibine, Victor Moreno and Natalie Krasovska's choreography. In Fort Worth, TX she took classes with Marjory Tallchief and Fernando Schaffenberg. She was a dedicated teacher and she shared her extensive talents with her students. At Studio Bilancia, she was a Pilates instructor, and Muscle Release Therapist.. Cynthia's sense of style was evident in her dance, gardening talents, antique collecting and decorating as well as her drawing and painting skills. She had an incredible zest for life and was always up for a party. All who knew her loved her. She is survived by her son, Valodin Wolfe and his wife Michelle and daughter, Elizabeth Ashton Wolfe; long-time Companion, Gary Madison and his children, John David Madison and Regan Petersen and their spouses and children; sister, Leslie E. Farrish, brother, John W. Ashton and wife Yvonne as well as many nieces and nephews. Services will be held November 10, 2011 at 1:00 at Trinity Episcopal Church. Interment will be at Trinity Episcopal Church's Columbarium. In lieu of flowers, the family sincerely requests that donations be made to Clarehouse, 7617 S.
