Chigger was no bigger than my hand tail & all when John stopped 2 boys from dragging her behind their bicycles by a string. She was taken away from Mom way too soon. We took her in, loved her to good health. Chigger was a smart kitty, very affectionate and always well behaved. Never in her life did she give us one problem. Chigger retained her skittish behavior throughout her life, only being comfortable with a select few. February 21 without warning she began dragging her hind quarters & stumbling, so we called the vet. (We suspect Chigger fell from the cat tree when Nitro was bullying her). Vet said it was a neurological problem as her muscle tone was good. She was given an anti-inflammatory that helped for a very short time. February 24th she came out of the bedroom completely dragging her entire body from the shoulder blades back. We heavy heartedly put her down at 7:15 p.m. She lay in my lap while her Dad & I comforted her as she went to sleep. She was a precious kitty. The love we gave her was returned 10 fold. She was always a lady, dear friend, cherished daughter. Our lives are better because of her love. It was a great 4 1/2 years Chick-A-Dee, we'll see you at Rainbow Bridge as soon as we can baby. Until then you play in full health. WE LOVE YOU BABY. WE MISS YOU!
Her song in a high extended pitch: "Chi, chi, chigger, Chigger my baby we love you."
