Willa Dean "Penny" Nester, 70, of Hillsville,
died Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Carroll County to Wyatt and Lila Mae Alderman. She was the widow of Orlus Nester. Survivors include a
brother and sister-in-law, Elmo and Margaret Alderman of Hillsville;
sisters, Ethel Marie Alderman of Hillsville and Lillian Hawks of Fancy Gap;
sisters-in-law and spouse, Alice Alderman of Floyd and Glendon and Melvin Webb of Hillsville;
and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held Saturday at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Funeral Home with the Rev. Clarence Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in the Alderman & Clontz Cemetery
Was killed when a car struck her while crossing the the street next to her home.
