Chester E. Hamrick, 80, of 3 Forrest Ridge, died at 8:38 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 1979, at St. John's Hospital.
A Springfield native, Mr. Hamrick was an engineer for the Illinois Terminal Railroad prior to his retirement.
Surviving are his wife, Grace; one son, Robert, of Springfield; one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Caroline) Miller, of Louisville, Ky.; one brother, Lloyd, of Largo, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. Oakley Lange, of Springfield; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services were at the Bisch Memorial Home.
Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
