MONFORDVILLE Herbert Lee Brents, 77, of Horse Cave died at 8 p.m. Jan. 15, 2004, at his residence. The Hart county native was a farmer and member of Bearwallow Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Wheaton Brents and Carrie Ray Brents. He was preceded in death by two sons, Earl Allen and Leonard Brents. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Friendship Baptist Church with burial in Bearwallow Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church. Hawkins-Brooks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.Survivors include his wife, Maxine Brents; a son, David Hall of LeGrande; two step-daughters, Necia Rennia Driver of Glasgow and Demetria Nuckols of Horse Cave; three stepsons, Ronnie Lee Nuckols of Horse Cave, Henry Lee Nuckols of Munfordville and Delbert Lynn Nuckols of Paintsville; two daughters-in-law, Geraldine Brents of Central City and Anita Brents of Cave City; a sister, Roxey Nuckols of Horse Cave; and several nieces and nephews.
