OAK GROVE, LA - Funeral services for Curtis Lee Adams, age 63, of Oak Grove, Louisiana will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at First Church of God in Oak Grove, Louisiana.
Reverend Ronald Williams will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Terry, Louisiana.
Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove.
Mr. Adams passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at West Carroll Memorial Hospital in Oak Grove.
He was a long time employee of Carroll Nursing Home in Oak Grove. He worked in the maintenance department and took pride in his job. He was known for his friendly attitude, and loved to tease the residence and other employees.
He is preceded in death by his father, Sam Adams and his mother, Janie Carpenter Adams.
He is survived by his wife, Mable Lee Adams of Oak Grove; son, Curtis Lee Adams, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia; son, Christopher Adams of Texas; daughter, Earnestine Adams of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter, Alice Faye Wilder of Oak Grove; daughter, Connie Wilson of Oak Grove; daughter, Janie Ann Adams of Eudora, Arkansas; daughter, Tammy Adams of Oak Grove; daughter, Wynona Adams of Oak Grove and a host of grandchildren.
He is also survived by his brother, Terry Lee "Billy" Jackson of Oak Grove; brother, Sammy Adams of Las Vegas, Nevada; sister, Ida B. Jackson of Arcadia, Louisiana; sister, Johnnie Ruth Adams of Arcadia; sister, Diane Adams of Arcadia; and sister, Earnestine Adams Snead of Houston, Texas.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 24, 2014 from 4 to 6 PM at Carroll Nursing Home in Oak Grove.
