His parents are Glen and Martha (Miller) Graber. His parents both survive in rural Washington.

He was married to Beverly Knepp on Sept. 16, 2001, and she survives. He was a carpenter and co-owner of JW Construction Company. He was a member of Canaan Fellowship Church in Epsom.

Also surviving are three children, McKayla Janiene Graber, Jaydon Eugene Graber and Kendall Ryan Graber, all at home; paternal grandfather, Fred Graber of Montgomery; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeremy and Lora Jean (Graber) Graber, and Anthony and Sherry (Wagler) Graber, all of Loogootee, two sisters and a brother-in-law, Marietta and Alva Dale Knepp, Montgomery and Ruthellen Graber of Washington.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Lillie (Stoll) Graber and his maternal grandparents, Fred and Katie (Knepp) Miller
