Hazel was born February 01, 1931, in the Town of Two Rivers, a daughter of the late William and Violet (Popelka) Ouradnik, Sr. She attended schools in Two Rivers and Manitowoc and was employed for many years by Mirro Aluminum Company.
Survivors include five children: Kay (Dean) Smogoleski, Two Rivers, Sue (David) Hanssen, Oconomowoc, Bruce Arneman, Mishicot, Barry (Alane) Arneman, Newburg, Mark (Dana) Arneman, Manitowoc; eight grandchildren: Jason (Katie) Smogoleski, Jessica (Chad) Delagrange, Adam and Carissa Svatek, Zoe and Ian Arneman, Jeremy and Morgan Arneman; four great-grand children: Luke and Mallory Smogoleski, Tyler and Ava Delagrange. She is further survived by one brother: Melvin (Shirley) Ouradnik; four sisters: Mary Ann Landt, Joan (Harlas) Luckow, Jane Kracht, Shirley (Allen) Barner; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by brothers and sisters: William (Alvina) Ouradnik, Jr., Thomas (Gertie) Ouradnik, Norma (Archie) Brouchoud, Evelyn (Harold) Hammerberg, Helen (Gene) Peters, Lorraine (Leonard) Reno, Donald (Mary Ellen) Ouradnik and Leonard (Sandra) Ouradnik; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Elmer and Lily Arneman.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, 17th & East Park St., Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be Pastor David Arndt with entombment in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.
Memorials may be directed in Hazel's name to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3607 45th Street, Two Rivers WI 54241.
Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th St., Two Rivers, is assisting the Arneman family with funeral arrangements.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the third floor nursing staff at Shady Lane, especially Yumi, Katie, and also Amy Schleunes, NP, for all the care given to Mom during her stay.
