David died Sunday, January 18, 2015, at Niobrara Valley Hospital in Lynch, Nebraska.
David Alfred Beckmann, son of Alfred and Nellie (Lukens) Beckmann, was born January 14, 1960, in Creighton, Nebraska. David was baptized on March 27, 1960 and confirmed on April 11, 1976, at Christ Lutheran Church, rural Creighton. He remained a member of this church his entire life. David attended elementary school in Center, Nebraska, and graduated from Verdigre High School in 1980. During high school, he was an active participant in FFA.
David lived on the family farm west of Center all his life, until moving to Creighton, Nebraska in January 1999. He enjoyed square dancing for many years. David liked visiting with family and friends, and the companionship of his beagle, Allie. He took pride in being a volunteer at the Creighton Park, where he watered plants.
David is survived by his sister Audrey and husband Terry Carlow of Bloomfield, Nebraska; nephews, Dr. Sheldon Carlow of Lincoln, Nebraska and Brent Carlow of Wakefield, Nebraska; aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Nellie Beckmann; grandparents, George and Dorothy Beckmann, and Charles and Mary Lukens.
