Artie Belle Hill Blaylock, 92, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2015. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 9, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Christ's Sanctified Holy Church. Interment will be in Christ's Sanctified Holy Church Campground Cemetery immediately following the service. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 9, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon in the Chapel at Christ's Sanctified Holy Church.
Mrs. Blaylock was born in Connell's Point, Arkansas, to the late Walter T. Hill and Clementine Booth Hill Griffitts. She was a long-time member of Christ's Sanctified Holy Church, having become Sanctified in 1938 at a young age of 15. She lived in Norfolk, Virginia, from 1951 until 1978. Mrs. Blaylock then lived at the CSHC Campground from 1978 until 2003 when she moved into the CSHC Home for the Aged, where she lived until she passed away. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Eugene E. Blaylock; her son, Eddie Blaylock; her daughter, Barbara Blaylock Hodges; her siblings, Nathaniel Hill, Booth Hill, W. A. Hill, Elizabeth Hill Anderson, and Paul Griffitts.
Left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Blaylock are her children, Ken Blaylock (Helen) of Suffolk, Virginia, and Therese Blaylock Ashford of Kennesaw; her grandchildren, Nolan and Natalie Ashford, and Seven and Jason Blaylock; and numerous nieces and nephews.
