Mary was at the home of her youngest son Tobias taking care of his daughter who had been hit by lightening. The lightening strike had killed his wife Elizabeth. Mary lived in Ulysses, Kansas, It is not know why she was not returned there for burial.
There once was a town named Coy; all that is left as a reminder are a few cement foundations not to far from this cemetery.
