Arvel Hagen 1921-1942

The remains of Arvel Hagen were returned to Bagley Wednesday from Detroit, Michigan, and funeral services have been set for today (Thursday) at 2 o'clock in the Congregational Church. Rev. S. Bower will officiate while the Cease Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. Interment will be made in the Clearwater Cemetery, six miles west of Bagley.
Mr. Hagen passed away last Thursday afternoon, November 5th, at Mayberry Sanatorium, Northville, Michigan, where he had been a patient for the past 5 1/2 months. His illness had been aggravated by an automobile accident early in June and his condition gradually became worse.
He was born in Popple Township in Clearwater County on March 3rd, 1921, being 21 years of age at the time of his demise. While still a young boy his parents moved to Bagley, where he grew to young manhood and attended the local schools. About two years ago he left Bagley for Detroit, Michigan, where he had been employed until his illness.
He leaves to mourn his untimely passing, two sisters, and one brother. These are Delores Hagen of Bagley, Janet Hagen of Clearbrook, and Kenneth Hagen of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. His parents have preceded him in death.
