ROBBINS, Calif. - Byron James "BJ" Miracle Jr., died Dec. 15, 2009, in California.
BJ was killed instantly in a one-car accident.
He was born in Rapid City, S.D., on Dec. 22, 1960, to Byron James and Ruby (Havens) Miracle Sr.
BJ is survived by his wife, Katherine (Trinka Orville) Miracle, Robbins; their son, Byron III, and his wife, Erin, and their two daughters, Del Rey; their daughter, Jennie, and special friend Brian, Rancho Cucamonga; parents, Jim, Sacramento, and Ruby, Rapid City; his brother, Keith, and his wife, Luanne, and their two sons, Rapid City; and his brother, Kelly, and his two daughters, Denver.
BJ and Katherine graduated from Central High School in 1979 and from Black Hills State in December 1983.
They were married at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Rapid City in October 1980.
hey lived in Tennessee; Roanoke, Va.; and Robbins, Calif. BJ was an excellent remodeler and partnered with his father to create Miracle Manufacturing. He continued to own and operate the business until the time of his death.
He was also an independent dealer for Dish Network.
BJ especially enjoyed fishing with his dog, Millie, and was an excellent cook. Everybody was glad when they found out that he was cooking. He said his father taught him. We admired him for getting along so well with all sorts of people.
BJ had many friends and acquaintances in all walks of life. The admiration and love they felt for him was very evident at his birthday/celebration of life party Dec. 20 at their home in Robbins.
After a brief service at 10 a.m. Friday, July 16, at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Rapid City, BJ's ashes will be placed in the memorial garden at the church.
His family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the American Cancer Society or Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
