Charles E. Minnich, 79, of Guthrie, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord on June 25, 2010. He was born on March 22, 1931 to Harry and Ruby (Shaw) Minnich of Coyle, Oklahoma.
Charles grew up in Coyle. He graduated from Coyle High School in 1949. He worked as a farmer in Coyle until 1955 when he moved to Oklahoma City, OK where he worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 37 years as a postal carrier. He retired in 1992 and moved to Guthrie, where he worked in the Guthrie Public School System. He also worked as a custodian at various businesses in Oklahoma City.
Charles married Thelma Dye on June 4 1955. They had three children; John, Rick, and Debbie.
Charles is survived by his wife, Thelma, of the home: children John MINNICH and wife, Sandy of Guthrie; Rich MINNICH of Oklahoma City, and Debbie HUBBARD and husband, Hank of Guthrie.

Andrew MINNICH of Ada, OK,
Michelle MINNICH of Lawton, OK,
Preston MINNICH of Oklahoma City,
Dakota and NIchole HUBBARD of Guthrie and expected great-grandchild Zachary Ryan in August;
SISTERS: Harriett and Bill WILLIS of Guthrie,
Catherine and Buddy BALL of Midwest City, OK,
Ann and Gordon SENNHENN of Broken Arrow, OK
and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Ruby MINNICH; son, Stephen MINNICH; and grandson Daniel MINNICH.
Memorial services will be held at 2 pm, Wed, June 30, 2010 at the First Christian Church. Interment will be at Paradise Cemetery in Coyle. Arrangements are by Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
