Naylor served his country in the United State Army. After serving in the service, Naylor was a welder by trade. He loved his work and he loved the outside life, fishing, hunting, Gardening or just making flower gardens as he grew older. Naylor spent his last three years in the nursing centers and hospital. He had his sister, Lueine, each day by his side, whether just for talking a walk or taking a nap. He loved to have pancakes at IHOP or Golden Corral for some good catfish. Lueine would take him on Mondays to the casino and let him enjoy the atmosphere for about one hour. These last three years of his life was limited, but Naylor loved getting out, even when Lueine would take him for a haircut, the next stop was Braums for a strawberry ice cream cone and a drive through Honor Heights Park. Naylor made many friends over the two and a half years he lived at Grace Living Center in Muskogee. He enjoyed visiting and teasing the nurses. He liked helping a patient that needed help getting to the dining area, or maybe helping the cooks lock up the kitchen at night, Grace Living Center is where he called home. Naylor enjoyed playing his guitar and singing gospel songs, this was one of his favorite things to do.
