John lived first at Hopkinton, then on to Blandford, Massachussets.. It is belived from recrods of other families who were in the party and in the history of the Londonderry, NY colonly which was recruited from the five ships Passengers. Their records state that they arrived in Boston Harbor August 4th, 1718. In Blandford, he had two plots of 60 acres each. He was the first town selectman in 1742. He had positions of trust in town and church during his active life. He was a Tithing Man in the early Presbyterian Church from 1742 on. His burial place at Blandford is not marked, nor is that of his totally unknown wife.
later discoverd his wife is Lydia Davis.
There is a possibility that John and Lydia had another daughter not listed, named Elizabeth wo married Amasa Durham. She preferred to spell her last name as Cannin. These were the only Carnahan-Cannon families in Blandford, Massachussets at this time.
