WYNN Oleta, age 80, of Edmond, was born Nov 9, 1917 in Corbet, Okla. to John Willis and Mollie Amelia (KIRKLAND)WARD. Oleta was a Surgical Nurse, having worked at the Bone and Joint Hospital, later volunteering her nursing skills to Edmond Public Schools. She was also very supportive of her husband, Gene WYNN and their family business, WYNNS IGA. Oleta was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Edmond and also a member of the Mother's Club in Edmond, the Eastern Star and the Christian Women's Club. She was a big fan and supporter of the O.U. Sooner programs and was very proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Oleta passed away on Jan. 20, 1998 in Edmond. Her survivors include sons, Gordon Wynn of Edmond; daughter and son-in-law, Betty and John Cooper of Sapulpa, Okla.; brothers and sisters-in-law, E.W. and Alma Ward of OKC, Gene and Chris Ward of Choctaw, Troy A. and Marion Ward of Corbet, Okla.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Nema and Glen Outhier of Edmond, Janice Giles of Research.
