Martha was born about 1813, the oldest child of Arthur Lott, Sr. and his first wife, Mary Triplett. Her full siblings were Eliza, Arthur, Jr., Mary, Ephraim G. and James T. Lott. Her mother died shortly after or during childbirth with James. Martha's half siblings from her father's second wife were Artemissa, Narcissa and Catherine. Her half siblings from her father's third wife were Henry Wesley and Matilda Caroline. Martha and her full siblings were all born at Jefferson County, Georgia.

Martha married William Henry Beaty on Nov. 24, 1831 at Jefferson County, Georgia. By 1840, they were residing at Houston County, Georgia. By 1854, they had moved to Barbour County, Alabama. I have been unable to locate them on the 1850 census. Martha and Henry were the parents of Margaret Amanda, Margaret, John, William Henry, Jr., Mary Jane and and Julia A.

Martha died in 1870 at Barbour County. Henry remarried and had one more child before his death in 1880. They are buried side by side at Antioch Primitive Baptist Church near Cox's Mill in Barbour County, where several other Lott family members are buried.
