Catherine Virginia Ronco Cassell, 87, of Waynesville, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007, at her daughter's residence. A native of Clinton, Mass., she had lived most of her life in Boston, before retiring to Vero Beach, Fla. and Waynesville in 2006.
She was the daughter of the late George F. and Augusta Burke Ronco. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Francis Cassell, who died in 1995, and two brothers, William and Louis Ronco.
She graduated from Emmanuel College in Boston and was a member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Kathleen "Ginny" Ershock of Canton; one son, David M. Cassell, of Coral Springs, Fla.; and two grandsons, Charles Louis Theocles and Robert Michael Theocles, both of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Margaret's Catholic Church, 92 Murphy Drive, Maggie Valley.
