"Mrs. Laura Josephine Cunningham Baria, 73, wife of C. C. (Dock) Baria, died at 4:28 o'clock this morning at her home in Hurley following a long illness. Mrs. Baria was born Aug. 23, 1986, in Big Point, Miss. She was a member of the Hurley Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband; four daughters, Mrs. John D. Parker, Pritchard, Ala.; Mrs. Aubrey Hill, Gulfport; Mrs. M. C. Rone and Mrs. Hubert Clark, Hurley; four sons, Campbell Baria, Cowan Baria and Pehlem Baria, Hurley; and Wilson Baria, Wilson Springs; two brothers, W. P. Cunningham, Lucedale; and O. B. Cunningham, Chattanooga, Tenn.; three sisters, Mrs. Frank Snell, , Big Point; Mrs. Fannie Jones, Hurley; and Mrs. W. G. Reynolds, San Francisco, Calif,; and 20 grandchildren. The body will be taken from the Jackson County Mortuary of Pascagoula to her residence in Hurley at 6 p.m. today. Prayer services will be held at the home Wednesday at 12:45 p.m. and the body will be taken to the Hurley Methodist Church at 1 p.m. where the body will lie in state until the service at 2 p.m. The Rev. G. A. Broadus, pastor, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. J. S. Troutman, Big Point Methodist Church, and the Rev. Grady Mizel, pastor of the Hurley Assembly of God Church. Interment will be in the Coleman Cemetery at Hurley."
