MRS. W. F. ALLENDER DIES WEDNESDAY
Funeral services for Mrs. W. F. Allender will be held at her home in Embarrass at 11:30 Friday afternoon and at the Congregational Church. Mrs. Allender died Wednesday morning at her home after a long illness. She had been ailing for five years and abed for two weeks.
Mrs. Allender was born Ella C. Webster, daughter of Francis and Mary Webster, At Belle Plaine July 22, 1852. She married William Allender in 1882 and is survived by two daughters, Hazel, Mrs. W. W. Liesch, Laona; and Irene, Mrs. A. C. Tellock; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Two sisters, Mrs. A. P. Peterson, Sheboygan, and Miss Alma Webster, Skelton, Washington, and one brother, John Oshkosh , also survive her.
Pallbearers for the service will be the six grandsons, Kenneth Liesch, Laona, William Liesch, Chicago, Lieut. Keith Liesch, Fort Custer, Michigan, Donald Liesch, Newton, Robert Liesch, in school at Ripon College and Bruce Liesch.
Active all her life in church work, Mrs. Allender was a member of the Congregational Ladies' Aid and the Cemetery Association for the 51 years she lived in Embarrass. Married in Shawano, she also lived for a short while in Belle Plaine.
The services Friday are to be conducted by the Rev. Walter E. Schilling and arranged by the Heuer Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery.
